Culture Summit

  • Restoration Anglican 5645 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55417 United States (map)

Restoration will be a digital host to the 16th annual Culture Summit (presented by Q Ideas). This year’s theme is “Signs of Life” and the speaker list is phenomenal, including Malcolm Gladwell, Paul Kingsnorth, Elizabeth Kirk, Preston Sprinkle, and Andy Crouch.

Registration is $10 per person.

  • The Culture Summit is a moment for Christians from every sphere of society to gather, learn, reflect and collaborate on playing our unique role in God’s plans for the world. Founded by Gabe and Rebekah Lyons in 2007, this global gathering consistently platforms leading Christian voices making important contributions to how faithful followers of Jesus ought to live, love and lead during our cultural moment.

  • Here’s Pastor Molly’s pitch:

I’ve been to three of these conferences and can’t recommend them enough. The topics and speakers are vast— there’s pretty much no corner of society that doesn’t get addressed. Engaging all these issues and listening to so many presenters feels like a marathon of the mind! Every year, I’m encouraged, challenged, inspired, and given much food for thought.

The experience is further enriched by debriefing these talks with others in real time. Come and be a part of some great discussions!

  • Everyone is on their own for lunch, but there are some great choices.

Feel free to bring your own lunch and eat in our fellowship hall at lunchtime. You’re more than welcome to make use of the refrigerator, microwave, and anything else.

Walking next door to Kowalski’s grocery store will give you a plethora of options. They have a salad bar, hot sandwiches, and lots of other grab-n-go choices.

On the other side of Kowalski’s is Guava’s Cuban Restaurant, which is excellent, too.

You could also drive up Chicago Ave to a variety of restaurants.

  • You can definitely still come. We do ask that you pay the full $10 registration fee, though.

  • While Culture Summit is an Christian organization, they invite some speakers who are not Christian, speakers from with various political views, and speakers across the theological spectrum. It is certain that you will hear views expressed that are different than your own.

It will be interesting to hear the speakers compare their ideas and worldviews, and this will hopefully equip us to better proclaim Christ clearly within our complex society.

  • Anyone! We’re inviting other churches from the neighborhood, but also feel free to invite anyone else who might benefit from this conversation.

  • This helps offset the streaming fee. It also includes small hospitality costs, like coffee and snacks.
