Frequently asked questions

Visiting a church (with children no less) can be an intimidating experience. We hope these FAQs can make your first Sunday a little easier!

What does Sunday School Look Like?

Children begin Sunday mornings in age specific classes for about 45 minutes of small group time where they engage the same basic rhythms: welcome and settling into the space, hearing from God’s Word, time for response, and a closing prayer/blessing. During the announcements, all children return to the larger service to participate in communion and worship with their families.

Which door should we Enter?

Whichever is convenient for you! The North Entrance (near Kowalski's) has a parking lot and a ramp that's helpful for strollers. The West Entrance (near Todd Park) is closest for people parking on Chicago and the South Entrance (off 57th) is great for folks who parked in the neighborhood. Greeters will be able to point you to our Children's Check-In kiosks.

Where do we check-in?

We have two Check-In kiosks on the Main Level near the Main and North entrances. All children can be checked in at all locations, but we ask that parents and caregivers still accompany their children to their rooms.

How are you handling illness?

We ask all parents to abide by our Well-Child and Children's Covid Policies. We are incredibly grateful to be in a space where we can offer Sunday Morning Children's Ministry in the safest way possible.

Are my children welcome to stay in the service?

Yes! Regardless of whether or not Sunday School is happening, children are always welcome to remain with their caregivers for the entirety of the service.
