Dear Restoration,
What a week! Thanks be to God, we were able to launch ministry within the miraculous building that he provided for us. We were joined by Bishop Julian Dobbs for this special moment. In the Anglican tradition, a bishop is the protector of doctrine, shepherd of pastors, and stanchion of the church.
We gathered outside on a beautiful, crisp autumn afternoon to begin the Building Consecration service and initiate our congregation’s ministry in this historic space.
Then on Sunday, Oct. 31st we celebrated our first Sunday Worship. Within this service, several individuals were confirmed into the church. At confirmation, one reaffirms their baptismal vows, is blessed by the bishop, and anointed afresh for devotion and ministry.
And then a week later on All Saints’ Sunday, we welcomed eight children into the household of God through the waters of baptism. It was a glorious day!
We are still in awe that God would bless our nomadic church with a long-term home. Enjoy the photos, and please join us as we praise the Lord who restores our broken souls!
Peace,
Fr. Rick
