Dear Restoration,
Consider yourself warmly invited to participate in the 2023 Culture Summit next Thursday and Friday (April 27-28). If taking two days off from your regular rhythms isn’t feasible, you’re welcome to come for a morning or afternoon session on either day.
The conference takes place in Nashville, but for the second year in row, Restoration will be operating as a virtual host. Over the course of two days, we’ll hear thirty different speakers from all the significant channels of culture: government, arts and entertainment, media, education, the social sector, business, and church. Most of the talks are 9 minutes, some are 18. As a sample, this talk, given by Andy Crouch, was a highlight of mine from several years ago. Listen to hear him explain how the unassuming Rom 16:22 is one of the most astonishing verses in the bible.
You can find a line-up of this year’s speakers and topics here. I’m eager to hear from Jean Twenge, Malcolm Gladwell, and Os Guinness. However, I encourage you not to be dissuaded if you don’t see anyone that entices you all that much. I’ve found over the years that some of the most powerful talks are given by non-famous folks.
We’re hosting this conference because we value wholeness. We want to see the gospel of Jesus Christ applied to every sector of society. And we believe in creating opportunities for dialogue around critical issues our culture is facing. Rather than cower in fear or bluster forward in ignorance, we seek to be informed, equipped, and inspired to live faithfully in our secular age. I’m looking forward to this time together and hope you can join us.
Yours in Christ,
Molly Stawarz
