Rain Plan for Aug 8: Parkway Theater

Dear Restoration,

Due to rain throughout Saturday and into Sunday morning, we are moving our Sunday Worship on August 8th back to the Parkway Theater. We’re so grateful for the Parkway’s openness for us to return on such short notice! There are a few other events and details that are impacted by this, though.

LIVESTREAM
First, for those unable to attend in person, we are going to attempt to livestream tomorrow’s service. This livestream will be simplified due to the last minute planning. That means fewer camera angles and less on-screen liturgy. But we hope that through this, more are able to participate with us.

BUILDING UPDATE
Second, I do not want to postpone our exciting Building Meeting another week, and so we will be offering two options to meet. The first option is a couple minutes after the worship service. That meeting will not be live-streamed. The second option is on Zoom at 7pm. The Zoom link is available online.

STORY ON THE SHORE
Emily will be sending out an update to parents about this soon. Stay tuned!

COVID RESTRICTIONS
Lastly, I know that many are concerned about the Delta variant and Minnesota’s current fourth Covid-19 wave. As we have done throughout the past year and a half, we continue to follow the guidance of the authorities God that has placed over us. We will be following the CDC and MDH guidance by recommending, but not requiring, all individuals to wear a face covering during our service. Hopefully, we can return to Outdoor Worship next week.

It’s not lost on me that for the past couple weeks, I’ve been intending to preach on Unity. Last week was canceled because of predictions of unprecedented smoke levels and this week we will be dispersed due to weather and disease. Beloved, may we eagerly maintain unity with one another in the midst of these winding ways. I hope we can return to Outdoor Worship soon, and eventually this fall, be gathered under one roof for worship within a holy sanctuary.

Peace,
Father Rick
