Dear Restoration,
I’m so happy to share that we are offering membership at Restoration. Why now? Well as some of you know, we actually began designing a membership process a long time ago, but with all that’s happened these past couple years, we were never quite able to finish it. Now, with the tremendous help of the Parish Council and other leaders, we’re finally ready.
So, why do we even need membership? Hasn’t Restoration been doing just fine so far without it? Good question! The fact of the matter is that it is good, healthy, mature, and biblical for you to affirm your commitment to a body of believers. By committing to one another, we are able to trust and love each other more, and therefore be better equipped to love and serve the world.
If you’ve never been a member of an Anglican church before, you might be surprised by how different the process is from other traditions. (This mostly stems from our understanding of baptism and confirmation, but that’s another conversation.) If you consider Restoration your home, please look over our Membership FAQ and sign up for one of the classes. And don’t worry, if you’re not able to make it this time, we plan to offer these each Fall and Spring.
