Two Services in March

Extending the Table

Creating room for everyone who calls Restoration home.

Dear Restoration,

We have now been worshiping in our new building for a few months. This beautiful, new space has been used to relaunch Sunday morning Children’s Ministry, host regular youth events, sing Advent Evensong, start Women’s Bible Studies, and begin Series on Sunday morning. It is fun to see you enjoying this gift, and there’s still more to come!

As for Sunday Worship, you may have noticed that the sanctuary feels a bit full. We regularly need extra chairs in the side aisle, additional rows of chairs in the back, and extra space in the balcony. These “stretch” seating areas are where newcomers typically end up sitting, which is not a good first impression. Part of living out our value of hospitality is helping visitors and newcomers feel welcome, which means that we need more space.

In order to provide enough room for regular attenders and newcomers alike, we will be moving to two services on March 6th. Worship times will be 9:00 and 10:45.

A few logistical things to keep in mind:

  • Children’s Ministry will be offered only during the 9:00 service.

  • Parents:

    • If you also serve on a Sunday Team, Aaron will schedule you to serve during the 9:00 service.

    • If you prefer for your children to participate in the service, you are absolutely welcome to attend either the 9:00 or 10:45 service.

  • Winter Covid Mitigations are still in effect.

  • Livestream will be during the 9:00 service.

  • We will return to one service at 10:00 during the summer.

This transition will require more help. With two services comes additional need for volunteers. If you call Restoration your home, please strongly consider joining a Sunday Team. This is a great way to get to know others at Restoration, serve the local body of Christ, and welcome new people into our community. If you’d like to join a team, let us know.

We are eager to make more room for people to meet the living God through his Word and Table. May God use our congregation to nourish the lonely and broken among our neighborhoods!

In Christ,
Pastor Rick
